All’interno del parco del Castello di Duino è possibile visitare un interessante bunker risalente al secondo conflitto mondiale, quando le truppe germaniche occuparono l’edificio. Il bunker venne costruito per il ricovero delle truppe e per la difesa della base navale di Sistiana contro il previsto sbarco degli alleati.

Inside the park of the Duino Castle, it is possible to visit an interesting bunker dating back to the Second World War when the German troops occupied the building. The bunker was built to shelter the troops and to defend the naval base in Sistiana against the expected allied landings.
